MIRANDA BERG

                    FASHION FEMINISM ART

WELCOME

Welcome to Miranda Berg's fashion house, where innovation meets empowerment. Rooted in feminist values, sustainability, and inclusivity, Miranda Berg's collections redefine modern fashion. With a focus on bold, statement pieces and ethical practices, her designs challenge traditional gender norms and celebrate individuality. Each creation is a testament to the belief that fashion should not only be a reflection of personal style but also a platform for social change. At Miranda Berg, we craft more than just clothing – we create a movement for self-expression, equality, and a more conscious future.

TALE OF ESSENCE

This collection follows a narrative from the naive child to the adult, feminist-conscious woman. Each look reflects important stages that are significant for this development. In which way one meets the real world for the first time and gets to see and experience sexism, toxic relationships with men, gender discrimination, politics that take away your rights, and much more.

"Feminist design is not just a thing you do, it's how you do everything"

By exploring how fashion can be used in the service of activism, I want to investigate how feminism takes shape through fashion and what my visualization looks like.

How can I, as a fashion designer, portray feminist fashion?

TALE OF ESSENCE

MOTHER KNOWS BEST

This collection is exploring how fashion can be used as a therapeutic medium. By exploring the relationship between our bodies and what we wear, tactility and its effect on our mentality, the collection wants to embrace this lost generation and give them some calm and piece.

"We are struggling more and more with mental health issues, a lot of them caused by stress and anxiety. It feels like our lives hang by a thread"

MEATMARKET

The starting point for the collection is the feeling of being in a depersonalizing environment where one is seen solely as a sexual resource. In a nightclub, one can feel like a piece of meat, a sensation of only the body existing, not even the inner self. It's like being dead, yet alive.

"As a child, I believed that everything had a life. That everything had feelings. When I was in woodworking class and was about to create my very first butter knife, I became curious. Why didn't the wood scream when I sanded it? Why didn't it cry when I sawed into it?"
